Anointing Oil

Prayer and anointing oil is used for blessing and healing in the name of the Lord Jesus.

The oils and fragrances mentioned in the bible still serve their purpose in our lives today.

Epp Hallik’s anointing oils are prepared by using essential oils from wild or organic plants only and by adhering to biblical principles. The ingredients of various oil blends have been carefully selected and well balanced.

Use these oils externally and keep protected from bright light and heat. In case the oil gets into your eye or causes skin irritation, wash it off with plenty of lukewarm water. For children, expecting women, and people with very delicate skin, we recommend using the blend called Orange – Tenderness.

The 7 oil blends can be distinguished between one another by the color on the abels.

To try out the oil blends please use the tester bottles offered at the sales ponts.

Mark 6:13 – And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Proverbs 27:9 – Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by hearty counsel. Read more: Exodus 30:22-38; 2 Kings 20:13; Psalm 45:8-9; Philippians 4:18; Proverbs 27:9; Mark 6:13; James 5:14.

Anointing with the oil

Anointing with the prayer and anointing oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit – as the oil touches the skin the Holy Spirit starts working through yout faith. The oil has a symbolic effect as is the case with eating the bread and drinking the wine at the Holy Communion.  James 5:14-15 says „Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.“  Mark 6:13 „They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.“  1 John 5:14-15 „This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.“

When a person believes, the the s/he does not look at the external, when a person believes, then s/he does not think about how s/he feels. For the one who believes in God already has what s/he believes in.  Acts 2:38-39 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Isiah 61:6  „And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God.“

The Holy Anointing Oil was made of plants with a good fragrance (read more in Exodus ch. 30). The New Testament does not give any instructions in regards to the components of the anointing and prayer oil, but I believe it is best to use pure and  organically grown plants that have also been mentioned in the bible, to honour the Lord.

You may read more about anointing with oil in Deuteronomy 28:40; Ruth 3:3; 2 Samuel 14:2; Micah 6:15; Ps 104:15; Proverbs 27:9; Amos 6:6; Luke 7:38,46.

Song of Solomon 4:10-14 „How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much more pleasing is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your perfume more than any spice!  Your lips drop sweetness as the honeycomb, my bride;  milk and honey are under your tongue. The fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon.  You are a garden locked up, my sister, my bride; you are a spring enclosed, a sealed fountain. Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with choice fruits, with henna and nard, nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with every kind of incense tree, with myrrh and aloes and all the finest spices.“ John 12:3 „Then Mary took about a pintof pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.“

2 Corinthians 1:21, 1 John 2:27 The most important anoitning comes from the Holy Spirit. All believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour have received such anointing.
