My Story

Everything we do, we do unto the Lord, and let this be the best from our hearts. When He calls us to act according to His will, we need the obedience to follow it through. He leads us to the straight path and gives the wisdom. His yoke is easy and the best we can do is to surrender. Our journey might not be easy, but the fruits are important. The Lord’s ways are marvellous and unfathomable, but always blessed.

My name is Epp Hallik. I come from and live in Estonia. I've been a believer since 2003 and I'm a member of Tallinn’s Way of Light congregation. I work as a kindergarten gymnastics teacher, a phytotherapist and a masseuse. However, the last five years I have spent mostly in my ‘secret place’, in the middle of the nature. At the time, I felt pulled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but also from active business, communication, the field of plant-based therapy, and even the body of Christ as I could not attend our congregation as often as before. Throughout these years I was looking for something deeper and more real. Also, I was looking for a different outlet professionally, something that would be consistent with God’s purposes.

He puts His thoughts and wishes inside us, and He did and still continues to do this with me. I have realized that the birth of bigger things is preceded by a period of preparation.  Only after the person is ready to accept it and there is peace in one’s heart, God’s will prevails. Two years before the birth of the Anointing Oils, I felt in my heart that I had to make some and give them to the elders of our congregation, but that was all for the time being.  Sometimes I would make a few blends for people who asked me directly, but I did not feel God leading me any further. However, something interesting happened once: I visited a clay-moulding workshop where I sculpted my first-ever item of clay. I knew from the start that I wanted to make a jug for anointing oil, and that’s what I did. Later on, the Holy Spirit reminded me this and the jug became the logo for the oils.

Altogether, there are seven different Anointing Oil mixtures with different consistency as shown on the labels. The colours and the number seven were reminded me by the Holy Spirit and relate to another story from my life. Some time before I went to live in the country side I had drawn a picture of myself, with buildings and nature in the background – a place where the will of God eventually led me to live. Later, I added a rainbow to the picture. At the time I did not know the meaning of the rainbow but the understanding came later when I started making the oils. The book of Genesis 9:16 says “whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”  The importance of the rainbow and the colours within it found significance in my anointing oils. When the Lord speaks and unveils a message then it can shake you thoroughly because something great has happened, something personal and awe-inspiring.

Inside me there was a knowledge that the blends had to be made of the best materials that result in the best fragrance and safe use, therefore the products are pure and organic (BIO). The New Testament has not given exact directions on how to make the prayer and anointing oils, but guided by Holy Spirit, I have used the essential oils derived from the most common plants mentioned in the bible. I know our Heavenly Father is rich in goodness and has created plants to express His goodness, mercy and wrath. This makes me particularly happy as it relates to the prior knowledge of my profession – aromatherapy. Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

The Anointing Oils also have names inspired by my journey with God, although these may not bear much relevance in terms of the use of the product. The user might make their choice perhaps mainly based on the fragrance or other qualities of the product. For example, in Esther 2:12 we see that such oils were used in women’s beauty care: “Before a young woman’s turn came to go in to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics.” However, the primary purpose of these oils is their use for anointing, healing and blessing.

Following you will find an overview of the prayer-anointing oils:

* The VIOLET blend ‘Clarity’ (myrtle, frankincense, hyssop) – when God touches then the ‘eyes open’ and it brings along clarity of understanding. Ps 37:6: “He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Hyssop has traditionally been used in purification procedures.

* The INDIGO blend ‘Thanks’ (nard, frankincense) – I am thankful for having found mercy in His eyes, for His greatness, love and sacrifice.  1 John 2:2 says: “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” Nard and frankincense were used to honour Jesus.

* The BLUE blend ‘Pleasure’ (frankincense, benzoin, sandalwood) – the joy of a found treasure, freedom, and hope. “He has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy” (Ps 45:7) and Ps 70:4 says: “But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The LORD is great!”And Isaiah 61:10 says: “I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”

* The GREEN blend ‘Peace’ (nard, benzoin, myrrh) – reconciliation, peace within me, trust. Ps 4:8: “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.” Proverbs 14:30: “A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.” Phil 4:7: “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

* The YELLOW blend ‘Blessing’ (frankincense, myrrh) – knowing that you're blessed, protected and kept well. Ps 24:5: “They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Saviour.”

* The ORANGE blend ‘Tenderness’ (rosewood, tangerine) – “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; He gently leads those that have young,” (Is 40:11). “Then I said: “LORD, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments.” (Neh 1:5).

* The RED blend ‘Hope’ (labdanum, myrrh, rose) – hope based on the greatness of His love, the eternal life. Psalm 146:5: “Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God.”  Ps 13:5-6: “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.”

The most important thing when prayerfully anointing with oil is realizing the will of God, the manifestation of His glory because the power and blessing originate from Him. I wish you a blessed anointing with the Prayer-Anointing Oil in the name of our Lord Jesus, and rejoice always!
